If you think about it, we pray for 3 main reasons. Need, Want and Fear.
How many times do we pray just to thank the Lord, check to see if we are where He wants us to be, or praying for wisdom and to be still to hear His still small voice?
I can tell you from my own experience, probably not a whole lot. Life gets busy, noisy, urgent.
As believers, we need to make the concerted effort to truly put God first and foremost in our lives. To be still and listen for that still small voice. He speaks volumes of wisdom, guidance, love, correction, healing…
Remember this. We always have time for the things we put first. Where is God in your life?
Have you ever watched horses in a field? Sometimes a small, sweet lazy horse will stand up to a larger, dominant horse trying to get their hay. I’ll bet you would never expect it, and you may not believe me but, it’s true and the same holds true for us. In the story of David and Goliath, a twelve year old shepherd boy defeated a twelve foot man with a single stone and his sling shot. Nobody expected it, no one could believe their eyes but it was true!
David ended up becoming king of Israel. When he faced the giant, he picked up five smooth stones, not because he doubted one stone would kill the giant but, because he wanted to take care of Goliath’s four brothers too but, they fled. No not the stones, the brothers fled 🙂
There is a saying that “God does not call the equipped, He equips the called”.
So stand strong and face the giants of your life with courage! Know that Jesus is the rock that you stand on and His word is the sword that you fight with. You are never weak when you have faith in the savior like David did!
To help with the cost and upkeep of the ministry needs for the children and horses, we have added hosted events and pony parties to our insurance policy. We are excited to be able to host small events and pony parties in our small pasture that is well groomed and half shaded, with a view of the fields! We have acquired an event tent 10 x 20 and 20 heavy duty but very attractive folding chairs. 🙂
We’re even hosting a women’s retreat over Memorial Day weekend!
For more details how you can reserve your spot to make your child’s party memorable and help our ministry, click on the “Gig Salad” pic below.
All parties are booked via this site to stay organized and keep track for tax purposes etc.. 🙂
