MIA’S STORY
My name is now “Puella Mia” which means “My Girl” in a language called Latin. My name used to be “Muchacha Grande”. I am an ex-race horse who, despite great bloodlines, did not like to race. You may have heard of some of my relatives, “Native Dancer“, “Bold Ruler“…
I was involved in a pretty bad horse trailer accident a few days before I was sold for slaughter. I was in the meat pen and really did not care if I lived another day or died.
I was very thin and had many wounds and abrasions all over my body. A woman named “Kelly” bought me from the kill broker and took me to her place called a “rescue”. After a few short weeks, I felt completely different! Kelly kept me for about a year and had the vet treat my wounds. Then just recently, on August 9th 2012, a very nice family came to take me to their barn and make me a part of their family!
I just love getting attention, treats and to be groomed. I am very thankful for my second chance at life, and now I am blessed to be able to help children overcome their own wounds inside and out!
Would you please help us continue this work with the kids? I really love this new life and want to keep helping kids and their families! Any amount is a true blessing! All donations go directly towards my care and feeding. Thank you and God bless!
XOXO
Love, Puella Mia A.K.A. “Mia”
