We Now Host Pony Parties!

Hello Folks!

To help with the cost and upkeep of the ministry needs for the children and horses, we have added hosted events and pony parties to our insurance policy. We are excited to be able to host small events and pony parties in our small pasture that is well groomed and half shaded, with a view of the fields! We have acquired an event tent 10 x 20 and 20 heavy duty but very attractive folding chairs. 🙂

We’re even hosting a women’s retreat over Memorial Day weekend!

ImageHello Dear Friends!

This last year has truly been blessed and we have grown more than we had hoped. God has been so faithful to us in this ministry!

As we look toward the coming weeks, months and Lord willing, years, at our farm in Quakertown, PA. Here are some of the things we feel in our hearts that the LORD is leading us to do:

  • Since Stephen Cianflone (the Mr. of the ministry) J was in the US Air Force for 10 years, we would like to help our veterans of the military, police, and fire fighters with the many battles they face with PTSD and so much more.
  • Working with the youth of the inner city of Philadelphia.  Not only showing them the love of Jesus Christ, but also teaching basic horsemanship, and care of barn and farm.
  • Using our 25 plus years together to minister to struggling married couples by mentoring them using the scriptures to counsel them on how God wants us to resolve conflicts and differences in love and gentleness.
  • Continue to expand our work with bullied, neglected, abused, and adopted kids and families.
  • Starting a Friday evening barn Bible study.

With these things in mind we are sending out an invitation to become a true partner in this ministry!

You may be asking, “How can I do that?” Don’t live close? Can’t make it to our farm to help in person? You can still be actively involved by becoming a partner in The Lord’s Lead Line ministry to help many families, couples, children and adults!

Here’s how you can help! To become a partner in our ministry, we are asking for a commitment of $30 a month. That’s only $1.00 per day and less than the cost of a cup of coffee!

The funds will go to the upkeep, feed, hay, hoof trims, dental, vet needs and supplies for the horses as well as for the needs of the families that visit us. As a thank you for Imagebecoming a partner, we will send you one of our cool custom-made feed bag totes! (Design may differ from photo)

These tough totes are stylish conversation starters! Waterproof and roomy! They hold up to 50 pounds easily.

If you live in the area and are able to partner with us for a onetime gift of $300 or more, as a thank you gift, we will give you a free pony party for your child. The party includes 2 hours of pony rides for 10 kids plus the birthday child, use of our facility at a day and time of your choosing, fun games and prizes, an experienced kind and helpful pony walker and decorations!

Families can donate in any way they wish however; there is never any expectation. We depend solely on financial donations, the work of our volunteers and also the gifts of those who believe in what we do.

We do not limit our services to children! We have adults that come to our ministry as well! We currently have an adult who is recovering from a stroke and one who has been recently diagnosed with Huntingdon’s Disease.

We Do NOT charge for our services.

Partnering with us will help us keep it that way

Thank you for considering partnering with us in this ministry. God Bless!

Mia’s Testimony

MIA’S STORY

My name is now “Puella Mia” which means “My Girl” in a language called Latin. My name used to be “Muchacha Grande”. I am an ex-race horse who, despite great bloodlines, did not like to race. You may have heard of some of my relatives, “Native Dancer“, “Bold Ruler“…

I was involved in a pretty bad horse trailer accident a few days before I was sold for slaughter. I was in the meat pen and really did not care if I lived another day or died.

I was very thin and had many wounds and abrasions all over my body. A woman named “Kelly” bought me from the kill broker and took me to her place called a “rescue”. After a few short weeks, I felt completely different! Kelly kept me for about a year and had the vet treat my wounds. Then just recently, on August 9th 2012, a very nice family came to take me to their barn and make me a part of their family!

I just love getting attention, treats and to be groomed. I am very thankful for my second chance at life, and now I am blessed to be able to help children overcome their own wounds inside and out!

Would you please help us continue this work with the kids? I really love this new life and want to keep helping kids and their families! Any amount is a true blessing! All donations go directly towards my care and feeding. Thank you and God bless!

XOXO

Love, Puella Mia A.K.A. “Mia”

Pogo’s Testimony

POGO’S STORY

My name is Pogo. I was sent to the kill pen bound for slaughter in February 2007. I was labeled as an “Outlaw Horse” which, in the horse world means, that people thought that I was dangerous and not trainable.

They gave up on me. What they didn’t realize was that I was horribly abused and fearful of people and what they might do to me next.

My actions were because I was afraid and just protecting myself. I never meant to hurt anyone.

Some nice people came to see me two days before I was scheduled to be shipped to slaughter. I liked them right away and followed them willingly onto a nice two-horse trailer. I knew then that my life was saved. The kill broker was not very happy that I loaded so easily for these nice people, but gave him and his brother-in-law three hours of hard work getting me on to their trailer.

It wasn’t easy adjusting to my new life and trusting these new people but, as you can tell we made it. I am very thankful for my second chance at life, and now I am blessed to be able to help children who are abused, at-risk and mislabeled!

Would you please help us continue this work with the kids? I really love this new life and want to keep helping kids and their families! Any amount is a true blessing! All donations go directly towards my care and feeding. Thank you and God bless!

XOXO

Love, Pogo

Lady’s Testimony

LADY’S STORY

My name is Lady. I was rescued at the age of three along with my son, a three month old colt. We were purchased from the New Holland Livestock Auction on September 6th 2003. My son and I were brought to a stable in the city.

I was scared and shy and blind in one eye. I was meant to be a little girl’s pony but, was very green which means, I did not know very much about carrying a human on my back.

Several months went by and I remained scared and shy. I did not want many people near me or my baby. On July 4th 2004 a nice family stopped by to say hello to some old friends.

Their eleven year old daughter just came up to my stall and I liked her right away. She and her family took care of me from then on. They taught me how to accept a rider and all the other things a brave pony should know. I was not so afraid any longer.

I am very thankful for my second chance at life, and now I am blessed to be able to help children overcome their own fears! I just LOVE when people, especially children, show me love and attention!

Look out! I may frisk your pockets *smile*

Would you please help us continue this work with the kids? I really love this new life and want to keep helping kids and their families! Any amount is a true blessing! All donations go directly towards my care and feeding. Thank you and God bless!

XOXO

Love, Lady

Great gifts from Sarah for Lady Pony! x0x0

Hey All!

UPDATE!  A race horse trainer friend of mine has offered to pick up and deliver Muchacha to us in the next couple of weeks!
What a huge blessing! We are so very grateful to her! You’re an angel Mary Alice Caesar Pattershall x0x0x We will post all about Muchacha once she arrives at our barn!

Hello All,

The Lord has put this horse on our hearts to rescue and bring aboard to our ministry. She will given to us on a free trial basis and after that her adoption fee is very low. We are fund raising for transportation costs to bring her from her rescue to her forever home with us.

Here are the links to donate and her story below. http://www.gofundme.com/HelpBringRescueHorseHome

MUCHACHA’s STORY

Muchacha Grande was in a trailer accident, sold to slaughter, rescued and now has found a forever home after over a year of waiting. The only thing standing in the way is cost of transporting her to her new home! Can you help? ANY Amount is appreciated!

The route would be from Airville, PA. to Quakertown PA. About a 2 hour trip one way. Thus the high quote amount ~ Thank you for any help! God Bless!

Muchacha Grande

Age: 17
Thoroughbred
Mare
15.2 handsMuchacha, as we fondly call her, is one very sweet lady. We were told that she was involved in a horse trailer accident a few days before she was sold for slaughter. We found her in the meat pen with a look of not caring if she lived another day or died. She was very thin and had many wounds and abrasions all over her body. A few short weeks with us and she is a totally different horse. She loves attention, getting treats and grooming. You can do just about anything to her. Super companion with other other horses, gets along with both mares and geldings. She has had training under saddle and appears to know her job. We would recommend a low level intermediate rider or above. She would make a very nice family horse for light pleasure or maybe even a fun show here or there.
We hope to have her home with us by August 1st. Any amount donated towards this cause, no matter how small is appreciated and a blessing to us!
Thank you & God Bless!

Steve’s Story

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

The above verse is the basis of our ministry to the families who love the LORD Jesus Christ. To heal the relationships forgive the past overcome the obstacles and seek victory through the hope that is only provided by our LORD.

Inside the body of Christ there are many abused, neglected, bullied and at-risk youth. Marriages that are in turmoil, and relationships between parents and kids that need to be healed. Through God’s word, and through the amazing horses He has created, we seek to be used by God to start the healing process that is so desperately needed.

My wife has already told you from her perspective of why she was called to do this. So I only think it fair to let you know why I am as well. For many years, as a child, I was bullied by those at school, in my own family and even by the church.  I also suffered debilitating allergies and asthma that isolated me even more from others even when I was not being bullied.

All of this caused me to walk away from God.

I began to live a life that was filled with self-gratification. I sought those who would accept me even if it harmed me and my future. No longer did God matter and the sheer mention of the existence of a God, that I felt had wronged me and even thought hated me for allowing all that I went through in my life angered me.

Those feelings and a sense of isolation followed me into my marriage. It not only sought to destroy me, but also my wife and eventually our children.

Again I fully blamed God for all of this. Yet it is through my oldest child who was 4 years old at the time, that the Lord chose to reveal Himself through her and call me as one of His own.  At that time, things were the worst for my family that they had ever been. Divorce was most assured. Losing all that I said that I held dear, was going to happen.  I was brought to the end of myself. I was crying in the bedroom when my daughter came to me wrapped her arms around me and said, “God is going to make everything okay!” It was that sentence, which if it had been spoken by anyone else, that person would have met with my full wrath. But coming from this precious little one that I was about to lose ,changed everything.

In an instant I knew she was right. It was then the LORD started to show me why I had been allowed to go through what I had been through in my life , why I was still standing and how He was there with me.

The LORD, in a very short time healed my marriage, my relationship with my child,  many of my wounds, and allowed me to overcome many obstacles.  Using the experiences that God has brought us through, and gave us victory over, we will serve His children. This is the mission of The Lord’s Lead Line. To God Be All The Glory!
